On September 11, 2014, MEXRE signed an agreement to receive an endowment from the Estate of Betty J. Meggers and TARAXACUM.
The profits of this endowment will be used:
- To promote and support the increase of knowledge of the Indigenous societies of South America, both past and present, through research in anthropology and related disciplines.
- To promote collaboration among scholars, students and communities of diverse backgrounds of South America, Mexico, and the U.S.
- To foster the dissemination of this knowledge by publication and other means, including but not limited to symposia, exhibitions, webpages, lectures, films, and videos.
